Access & fees
HelpNeeded is being set up as a Community Interest Company (CIC) — a UK public-benefit company (registration in progress). That means we will need income to keep running, but our legal purpose is to help people, not to maximise profit. Our fees are modest and published below. And when cost is a genuine obstacle, we would rather hear from you than lose you.
Why we charge at all
A CIC must be financially sustainable to keep helping people year after year. Charging fair, transparent fees lets us maintain the site, improve the guides, and eventually fund human support — without turning justice into a luxury product. Any surplus is reinvested into the community benefit, not extracted as private profit.
Planned standard fees
While we build the site, everything is free. The rates below are the planned model for when payments launch. They are general-information and signposting services — not legal advice. A fee will always be shown clearly before you use a paid feature — no surprises.
Situation guide — full walkthrough
£5
Step-by-step information for your problem area, with links to free external help.
Hope Corner — extended AI session
£3
A longer conversation to organise your thoughts. Short introductory chats may stay free.
Optional support contribution
You choose
If you can afford more than the standard fee, you may add a voluntary amount. It helps us keep prices low for everyone.
When cost is a problem — talk to us
We know that for some people even a modest fee arrives at the worst possible moment. If that is your situation, don't quietly give up — write to us first. A few honest sentences are enough; there is no form and no queue.
- ✓Every message is read by a person and considered individually — there is no automatic 'yes' or 'no'.
- ✓Depending on the circumstances, we may offer a reduced fee, splitting a payment, or another arrangement.
- ✓Asking costs nothing and is never held against you. Browsing the site and general information stay open to everyone regardless.
- ✓We won't always be able to say yes — but our purpose as a public-benefit company is that money alone should not be the reason someone walks away.
Write to kontakt@helpneeded.app before you decide help is out of reach.
Published prices with individual arrangements are a standard, lawful way for a public-benefit company to operate. Any reduced fee or arrangement is agreed at our discretion, case by case, and does not create an entitlement to the same terms in future. Nothing on this page affects your rights to free advice from external organisations listed in our directory.
